In addition to our normal news coverage, What Now Atlanta is tracking ways Atlanta’s businesses are adapting to the novel coronavirus and the challenges it brings to brick-and-mortars.
Bell Street Burritos has temporarily closed its Tucker location as one of the restaurant’s employees Monday morning tested positive for COVID-19, Owner Matt Hinton told What Now Atlanta in an email after publishing the news to Facebook.
“The Tucker location of Bell Street Burritos is temporarily closed as we learned this morning that one of our employees has tested positive for COVID-19,” Hinton said. “Although it is not required by the state, out of an abundance of caution, we are closing to sanitize and disinfect our facilities and have our staff tested.”
Bell Street Burritos has two other locations that remain open and unaffected by the temporary Tucker closure: 1816 Peachtree Street and 112 Krog Street #1A.
“Our top priority is the safety and health of our guests and our staff and we have notified all team members who may have come into contact with the infected individual, and are working to get the staff tested immediately,” Hinton said. “We hope to be open before the end of the week, but we will not allow any team members to work unless they provide a negative test result. Follow us on social media for updates.”
