Midtown’s devolving restaurant scene forces everyone to eat burgers
Midtown’s waistline has gone to hell and Ansley Mall isn’t helping.
Boardwalk Fresh Burgers and Fries will open at Midtown’s open air mall this summer, according to the company’s website.
OK, let’s chew the fat here for a sec: fast food options aside, the burger joint at 1544 Piedmont Avenue will join EVOS, 5 Napkin Burger, Five Guys Burgers and Fries, Grindhouse Burgers, Vortex, YEAH! Burger and FLIP Burger in Midtown– anyone else’s arteries just clog at the sound?
Boardwalk’s actual location has not been confirmed although Bill Stogner, vice president of retail leasing for the mall, told What Now Atlanta a burger concept would replace the shuttered Toy Store space.
Franchisee Tony Ratliff, signed a development deal with Boardwalk to open 50 restaurants throughout Georgia– bet they’re all slated for Midtown.
“We are very excited to be part of the Ansley Mall tenant mix and bring another great option to the people of this community,” said Ratliff.
Don’t have a cow Ratliff, but the last thing the people of Mootown want is 50 more fat houses.
For those looking for a healthier dining alternative, Panera Bread is slated for Ansley Mall as well.
