We’re hungry for answers
It’s hard to say if South Buckhead’s Thirsty Dog Tavern closed, considering the restaurant never fully opened.
Hear us out.
They’ve had “temporary” signage since they took over the space back in March 2010, covering the permanent signs from the former concept that occupied the space, Vita.
Located at 2110 Peachtree Road NW, the restaurant’s temporary signage was removed today exposing Vita’s, the former concept which originally opened in 2008.
Dave Heany, formerly of Star Community Bar in Little Five Points and Vita’s Tony LaRocco opened Thirsty Dog Tavern last year.
Phone calls to the restaurant go unanswered during business hours and their website, ThirstyDogTavern.com, no longer exists (if it ever did, that is).
It could be that they’ve finally gotten a permanent marquee and will be installing it shortly. Highly doubtful, but possible. We’ll let you know what we find out in the morning.
Even we wouldn’t send a dog out on a night like this.
