Make-it-your-way style burrito joint trades parking for restaurant space

Just when you thunk Moe’s Southwest Grill couldn’t possibly pump out any more assembly line made burritos, the Poncey-Highland fast food Mexican joint is expanding.

Moe’s Southwest Grill at 863 Ponce de Leon Avenue is getting a face lift and will undergo renovations, according to a building permit filed with the city of Atlanta Thursday.

The restaurant is expanding square footage taking existing parking, the permit notes, in addition to renovations to the facade.

In a city dependent on parking, could Moe’s decision negatively affect business?

And besides, where are they going to park the Moe’s mobile?
