Juice bar opens at Shops Around Lenox July 10.
Roots Juices is opening its first store at Shops Around Lenox, the Buckhead shopping center announced Wednesday.
The Dallas-based juice bar will serve cold-pressed fruit and vegetable based juices beginning Wednesday, July 10.
Owner Brent Rodgers quit his job as a stockbroker and took a year sabbatical to travel the world before setting up shop in Buckhead. In his travels, Rodgers discovered people all over the world had embraced juicing.
“I discovered juicing while in Peru, but it was on the Syria-Israel border when I had a light-bulb moment,” Rodgers said in the release.
“There was this long line which I thought was to get across the border but it was actually for fresh celery and carrot juice. I realized then, that this was a way of life for many people and not just a trend.”
Root Juice’s 16-ounce products are made up of an estimated two to three pounds of locally grown fruits and vegetables, according to the announcement.
Root Juices pushes its produce through a hydraulic cold pressed juicer, ideal for yielding a higher level of vitamins, minerals and live enzymes, and a shelf-life of up to five days.
