UPDATE (Dec. 5, 2013): Is the closure of Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse Sandy Springs imminent?
Yesterday, What Now Atlanta (WNA) reported that Ruth’s Chris Sandy Springs will close within the next few months.
The story we published was based on information gleaned from three calls on three different days reaching three different sources at the restaurant itself.
Nancy Oswald, the franchisee of Ruth’s Chris Sandy Springs took issue with our story.
Through a spokesperson, Oswald wrote in an email:
Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Sandy Springs is not closing. Our current lease runs through late 2013 with options for renewal. We are evaluating all available options in light of the DOT’s decision to widen surrounding roads; however, we have no immediate plans to move the restaurant. Our Sandy Springs team has enjoyed, and will continue to enjoy, serving the Atlanta community.
So, is Ruth’s Chris Sandy Springs closing? It depends on whom you ask.
