Headwear retailer shuttered Luckie Street location June 9.

New Era Cap Company Inc. has shuttered its Atlanta flagship store downtown, one of thirteen flagship locations worldwide for the headwear brand.

The retailer of hats and caps, at 117 Luckie Street, closed its doors for good Sunday, June 9, a New Era customer service representative told What Now Atlanta over the phone Wednesday.

New Era’s Berlin, Birmingham, Buffalo, Chicago, Los Angeles, London, Miami, New Orleans, New York City, London Stratford, Toronto and Tokyo flagship stores remain open, according to the company’s website.

The now-shuttered Atlanta location has since been removed from the New Era website.

Founded in 1920, New Era Cap Company, Inc., produces more than 35 million caps per year, and is the exclusive manufacturer and marketer of the official on-field cap worn by every Major League Baseball team and their Minor League affiliates.
