Golden Chick is getting ready to expand with Franchisee Ashley Alam bringing her fourth location to 6626 Farm to Market 1960 Rd E in Humble. This one will open inside the Walmart at that address, giving the brand even more visibility in a high-traffic retail environment.
Alam, who opened her first Golden Chick in 2021 near Remington Ranch attached to a convenience store, says the brand has been a good match from the beginning. “I think that their product is far superior than other chicken places in the business, and it is a very easy operation. It is more of an upscale chicken place,” she said. Her success with the concept has encouraged further expansion, and she has no plans to slow down.
A third location is currently in the works in the Willowbrook area, with that one aiming for a late July 2025 debut. As for the Humble project, a permit filed with the city notes a renovation of an existing space totaling 2,150 square feet. The remodel is considered a Level 1 alteration, with updates to restaurant equipment and finishes but no change in use. Estimated costs come in at $150,000, and the work is privately funded.
With a strong relationship with the brand and clear confidence in its product, Alam is optimistic about future growth. For now, the Humble location is expected to open in late September 2025.
